Big Crowd Turns Out for Hearing on San Onofre Toll Road

In February, the state Coastal Commission denied permission for extending Route 241 from Orange County into San Diego County, through a nature reserve and across San Onofre State Beach. The Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency appealed to the US Commerce Department, and today yet another hearing was held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, where 657 people signed up to speak.
