The 36th Congressional District runs from Venice to San Pedro. Veteran Democrat Jane Harman has resigned, and 16 candidates are on the ballot for the primary next Tuesday. If nobody wins a majority, the runoff will be on July 12, between the top two vote-getters, regardless of party.
