Election Eve Wrap-Up
Two million absentee ballots have already been cast, but most voters will turn out tomorrow - hoping to find their polling places, many of which have been relocated by election officials. There are 135 names on tomorrow-s ballot, but most of the candidates lacked the resources to run serious campaigns. Some of best known have stopped running, and the polls show Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante and State Senator Tom McClintock fading fast. That leaves Arnold Schwarzenegger the most likely replacement if Governor Gray Davis should be recalled. We hear from a Republican Congressman and a Democrat on both sides of the issue. Prop 53 is designed to help rebuild California-s decaying infrastructure, without raising taxes.
