Yesterday’s 5-to-4 Supreme Court ruling said the Second Amendment permits Americans to keep handguns at home for the purpose of self-defense. But, in his majority opinion, Justice Samuel Alito also said that "does not imperil every law regulating firearms." He did not say what constitutes what he called "reasonable regulations."
