Former Top Brass Call for Rumsfeld's Resignation
A cluster of former military top brass is sharply criticizing Donald Rumsfeld--some even calling for his resignation, charging the Defense Secretary with arrogant leadership and poor military judgment in the Iraq War. President Bush responded with a strong statement defending Rumsfeld's character and performance. Several senior military officers, including Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Chairman Peter Pace, have backed the President in his assessment. Does this flurry of criticism throw doubt on the US strategy in Iraq? Is it against the military's code of behavior to question its leader during wartime? Anthropologist Leo Ch--vez says the immigrants' incentive is the chance to one day become American citizens.
