Architect Frank Gehry's buildings are stand-alone landmarks all over the world. Now Mayor Eric Garcetti has tapped him to for a master plan to restore the 51-mile long Los Angeles River, saying he's the right man to make the river "something special." Long-time Friends of the River are skeptical, but they concede that, "stranger things have happened."
