Architect Frank Gehry's buildings are stand-alone landmarks all over the world. Mayor Garcetti says he's the right man to make 51 miles of the Los Angeles River "something special."

Now Mayor Eric Garcetti has tapped him to for a master plan to restore the 51-mile long Los Angeles River, saying he's the right man to make the river "something special." Long-time Friends of the River are skeptical, but they concede that, "stranger things have happened."
