    Fresno Schools Superintendent Gives Up Salary to Benefit Schools

    Larry Powell is Superintendent of Fresno County Schools, running 325 campuses with 195,000 students in 35 separate school districts. His three-year contract would pay him $288,241 a year, but he's only accepting $31,000 a year, $10,000 less than a first-year teacher.
