    Goodbye Electric, Hello Hydrogen?

    When California's Air Resources Board demanded emission-free vehicles, the auto industry started to build electric cars. Now, General Motors is planning to scrap all those EV-1's even though many drivers still love them. What happened to a promising technology? Electric cars may be emission-free but that technology already is a thing of the past. Is there a hydrogen car in the future? Arnold Schwarzenegger says he wants to convert his Hummer to hydrogen power. President Bush says he sees a future in hydrogen power. We speak with LA City Councilman Eric Garcetti, who drives a city-leased electric RAV4, a spokesman for the Alliance Automobile Manufacturers and David Freeman, whose latest challenge in a five-decade career in electric and water utility industries is that of the new Hydrogen Car Company.
