    Governor Brown Signs California 'Open Carry' Ban

    In 42 states, it's now legal to openly carry a handgun. In all but two of them, the gun can be loaded. Republican Governors are liberalizing the opportunities for gun owners.  California used to allow open carry of un-loaded guns, but Democratic Governor Jerry Brown signed a law this week that prohibits any "open carry" at all.

California used to allow open carry of un-loaded guns, but Democratic Governor Jerry Brown signed a law this week that prohibits any "open carry" at all. Gun rights advocates are preparing to go to court.
