    A federal investigation of possible misconduct by the District Attorney and the Sheriff of Orange County has been called for by a group of legal heavyweights. They include 30 law professors, led by Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the law school at UC Irvine.

    A federal investigation of possible misconduct by the District Attorney and the Sheriff of Orange County has been called for by a group of legal heavyweights. They include 30 law professors, led by Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the law school at UC Irvine. Others are former LA District Attorneys Gil Garcetti and John Van de Kamp — who also served as California’s Attorney General—and the ACLU.
