    As the days dwindle down, none of the five candidates for Mayor has become a clear front-runner, and the chattering class is complaining that nobody's come up with a “vision” for one of the world's most exciting cities. We hear what Eric Garcetti and Wendy Gruel promised in private meetings of municipal union members, and why labor is more important in Los Angeles than almost any place else in the country. On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, the Obama Justice Department goes to court in Los Angeles accusing Standard and Poor's of fraud. We hear about a built-in conflict of interest that led S&P to overrate the value of bundled home loans.
