Los Angeles and Obama's Modified Dream Act

When he decided to block the deportation of some undocumented immigrants brought here by their parents, President Obama emphasized the limitations of his executive order. To get a two-year reprieve from deportation and qualify for a work permit, a candidate must have been brought to the US before the age of 16. He or she must have lived here for at least five years, be currently in school, graduated from high school or be honorably discharged from the military. They cannot be over the age of 30.
