    Lost Jobs, Foreclosures and Homelessness for SoCal Families

    Last year, the official count of homeless people in Los Angeles County was more than 70,000. This year's count has not yet been reported, but the call for homeless services is on the rise at the same time that available resources are on the decline. Lost jobs and foreclosures are driving entire families from homes to apartments to motels.

    Last year, the official count of homeless people in Los Angeles County was more than 70,000. This year's count has not yet been reported, but the call for homeless services is on the rise at the same time that available resources are on the decline. Lost jobs and foreclosures are driving entire families from homes to apartments to motels. For the chronically homeless, it's even worse.
