Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti and LAPD Chief Beck promise that both protest rights and property rights will be protected if there are more demonstrations over the not-guilty verdict in Florida's Trayvon Martin killing. We hear what happened last night in the Crenshaw District and about official preparations in case there's more to come. Also, it's business versus labor again in the campaign for the last seat on the LA City Council.

On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, George Zimmerman used a gun to kill Trayvon Martin and the jury said he acted in self-defense. But, despite permissive new laws on gun use in many states, fewer and fewer American households actually have guns. With crime going down, does that mean gun control might have a future?
