    Pratt Is Out

    Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt is free on bail, after 27 years in prison for a crime he always claimed he didn't commit. Supporters hailed the judge's decision, but the case renews questions about the effectiveness of our judicial system. Why did Pratt's appeal take so long to be approved? Why shouldn't the case be dropped altogether now? What has, and hasn't, changed over the last quarter century?
