    Same Sex Unions

Thirty states in the U.S. have passed initiatives which ban same sex marriage. In March of 2000, Californians will be asked to follow suit. Already, the initiative has sparked heated debate and created sharp division in the United Methodist Church following a suburban Sacramento union between two women in which dozens of Methodist ministers officiated. Should the so-called "right to marry" be extended to same sex couples?
