Republican US Senator Lindsay Graham and Republican Governor Niki Haley are just two of the South Carolina politicians who say it's time to take the Confederate Flag down from the state capitol grounds and relegate it to a history museum. They've linked it to the killings of nine black people last week in Charleston, and call it a symbol of racism and discrimination. What about California's state flag, which also has a troubling history? Novelist Alex Abella says it should go, too.
