Dozens of California schoolteachers were arrested yesterday in Sacramento during their week-long " State of Emergency " protest. They want Republicans in the Assembly and Senate to give Governor Brown the two votes he needs from each house to put $15 billion in tax extensions on the statewide ballot.

On Friday of this week, teachers from Southern California will gather at Pershing Square to reinforce the week-long lobbying effort in Sacramento.
