    Autism covers a broad category of troubles with social interaction, including verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. It's said to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, and symptoms arise when children are two or three. As they grow older, help in dealing with other people is needed.

    Autism covers a broad category of troubles with social interaction, including verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. It's said to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, and symptoms arise when children are two or three. As they grow older, help in dealing with other people is needed. UCLA's Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills(PEERS) has come up with what it calls an "evidence-based" program.
