    Student protesters were pepper-sprayed last night at Santa Monica College. The clash was sparked by efforts to cope with state’s crisis in higher education funding.

    Student protesters and others were pepper-sprayed last night on the campus of Santa Monica College. We hear about an incident sparked by efforts to cope with the worst crisis in higher education funding in California history. Also, an update on the shooting death of Kendrec McDade by the Pasadena Police Department. On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, the race for the White House is finally on… or is it?

      Family of Kendrec McDade Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit

      A civil rights lawsuit was filed in federal court today in the case of the late, black college student, Kendrec McDade, shot to death last month after a pursuit by two Pasadena Police officers. They were responding to a 911 call from a man identified as Oscar Carrillo, who said a backpack had been taken out of his car by two young black men.
