    John McCain was in Santa Barbara today, but he was not talking about his latest proposal for energy independence: more drilling for oil offshore. Barack Obama was scheduled to be in Los Angeles, but instead of a massive public rally with Hollywood celebrities, he opted to meet with the stars behind closed doors. Also tonight, the film industry--on edge for a possible actor’s strike.
