The State Budget and the Race for Attorney General

The District Attorneys of LA and San Francisco are running for state Attorney General, and yesterday they held what's likely to be their only face to face confrontation. We hear what San Francisco Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Steve Cooley had to say about prisons, the death penalty and other issues. Also, last week's secret budget deal includes cuts to schools, creative accounting and some rosy assumptions.  On our rebroadcast of To the Point, America's losing its lead in science and engineering.
