The Los Angeles Times reported today that its publisher, Jeffrey Johnson , has been forced out of his job. Johnson, along with Editor Dean Baquet , defied superiors at Tribune Publishing who demanded staff cuts that both men say would damage the Times. Some 400 staffers signed a petition asking that both men be kept on the job.
