UCLA Students Try Coping with Higher Tuition Costs

UC Regents so far have refused the request of President Mark Yudof to allow annual tuition increases of 8- to 16 percent for the next four years. Tuition has already gone up twice in the past year to a current total of $12,192. Room, board and various campus fees can bring costs to $31,000. In Berkeley today, 100 or so protesters clashed with police and took over a building.
