Which Way, L.A.?

Watergate: 25 Years Later

On Friday, October 17 from 1 to 2 pm (with a rebroadcast at 7 pm), KCRW (89.9FM) will broadcast a special National Public Radio production, Watergate: 25 Years Later (pre-empts Which Way, L.A.?). The 25th anniversary of the break-in and burglary at Democratic Party headquarters at the Watergate Office Building in Washington which was the beginning of the series of scandals called "Watergate," and which ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974 will be discussed. The moderator of Watergate: 25 Years Later is Haynes Johnson, former Washington Post reporter and best-selling author. Mr. Johnson won a Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1966. He is now a professor of political communication and journalism at George Washington University.
