Members of the United Teachers of Los Angeles held protest vigils Monday outside four places called "teacher jails." KCRW's Saul Gonzalez reports on what the dispute's all about. (He speaks with "Cathy," a teacher currently in teacher jail who doesn't want her named used, LAUSD General Counsel David Holmquist, and middle school teacher Scott Mandel, United Teachers LA's point person on teacher jail issues.)

We also hear from Howard Blume, who reports on education for the LA Times. Blume has more on teacher jails and on the death of veteran LA School Board member Marguerite Poindexter LaMotte.
