    To deal with the nation's worst air pollution, California's Air Resources Board mandated Zero-Emissions Vehicles in 1990. Six years later, General Motors launched its EV-1 electric car. Six years after than, GM took all the EV-1's back from lease-holders and crushed them out in the Arizona desert. The new documentary film, Who Killed the Electric Car?, calls it a case of murder.
