    Don't Expect California to Bail US Out of the Donald Trump Mess

    Will California put up a roadblock to Donald Trump’s march to the Republican presidential nomination? Not likely, according to Zócalo Public Square columnist Joe Mathews.

    For the first time in a long time, California will hold a presidential primary that matters in June. Anti-Donald Trump forces on both sides of the aisle see this state as the best chance to deny the New York businessman the delegates he needs to clinch the Republican nomination outright. But polls show Trump with a health lead among the state's dwindling GOP voters. And Zócalo Public Square columnist Joe Mathews says outrage about candidate Trump is muted here compared to other parts of the country.
