Who would want to spend Christmas in the snow when you can celebrate in sunny LA? Nobody in their right mind, according to Zócalo Public Square columnist Joe Matthews. Besides, Matthews says LA is the true capital of Christmas.

When you think of Christmas tableaus, Los Angeles probably doesn't leap to mind. But it should. The modern Christmas experience – at least the secular one -- is largely an LA production, according to Zócalo Public Square columnist Joe Matthews. He says we import the goods, design the toys and even write the songs. White Christmas in Beverly Hills, anyone?
