KCRW favorites made the list for the Mercury Prize, which is essentially an album of the year award for best UK album.

The 12 albums are chosen by a panel of British music critics and industry folks and you can view them below.

Michael Kiwanuka made his live U.S. radio debut right here on KCRW, as did Ben Howard AND Alt-J!

We’ve been big fans of Lianne Le Havas, Django DJango and Field Music, all who have been profiled on this here blog.
