*Dodger Stadium was built between 1959 and 1962 at a cost of $23 million (That’s $177 million in 2012 dollars)

*Dodger Stadium was the first Major League field since the construction of the original Yankee Stadium to built with 100% private financing.

*Although it looks Space Age, Dodger Stadium is the third oldest Major League venue, behind only Boston’s Fenway Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

*Between 1962 and 1965, Dodger Stadium was also homefield for the then Los Angeles Angels.

*Dodger Stadium is one of twelve Major League Baseball stadiums without a corporate-sponsored name attached to it.

*And for you music fans, The Beatles played their second to last concert at Dodger Stadium in 1966.
