A Tribute to De La Soul

I am guilty of doing those tribute sets to those who pass, but I wanted to do something that honored an iconic band or group while they are still with us. I had asked my twitter followers what would they want to hear on that night’s set and someone requested a De La Soul mix.

I dropped this mix around the time De La Soul put up their entire catalog on the internet for free including rarities and b sides.

All these elements inspired me to create this. I wanted to create a mix that showcased their progression from their fun/post hippy era to their adulthood/caught up in the music industry matrix phase.
