Wow. Can I start a blog with wow? Talk about a band that has made LA proud over the last couple years. Airborne Toxic Event emerged from LA’s indie rock scene with a gigantic single “Sometime Around Midnight” and are back with a new album of tracks that are, in my opinion, even better.

The band brought the Calder Quartet with them this morning and performed different versions of their songs to better accommodate the strings. We’ve been loving “Changing” and “Strange Girl”, which I’ve been telling Jason reminds me of The Cure for weeks. Turns out, they wrote it as an homage to The Cure! Now that is musical validation!
