Alt-J, Little Dragon and More on KCRW This Week

Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Tuesday, September 9, UK’s Alt-J made their U.S. live radio debut on KCRW in 2012 and went on to win the Mercury Prize that year. Their new record is already getting steady spins and they’ll stop by for a live set on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Wednesday, September 10, “Nabuma Rubberband” is Little Dragon‘s fourth studio album and adds a touch of R&B to the bands ready-made mix of fresh and fun dance music. We’ll air a performance taped in front of a live audience at Sonos Studio on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15 am.

Friday, September 26, Toumani & Sidiki combine for a rare father-and-son collaboration. Toumani Diabaté –a genius of African music who is widely recognized as one of the world’s best kora players – plays duets with his son Sidiki, the instrument’s emerging star. Hear it live on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
