KCRW’s current CD Club selection is Andrew Bird’s Are You Serious. For Bird’s thirteenth studio album, he collaborates with Fiona Apple, Blake Mills, Moses Sumney, and producer Larry Berg. Are You Serious features a more robust, straightforward approach to songwriting than his previous albums, bolstered by the stability of his recent marriage. As always, Bird’s album is an excellent opportunity to experience some multi-instrumental glory.
