Fall is officially upon us and that typically means we start looking for armaments against flu and cold season. But there’s another viral infection rapidly approaching that no one is immune to.

Arcade Fire fever.

I don’t have the antidote. That comes in the form of their upcoming album titled “Reflektor“, due out on October 29th. But I do have something that can provide some relief.

Norwegian folk singer Ane Brun is most known for her unique vocal style –you may remember her big hit track “Do You Remember” (pun intended) and on a visit to Morning Becomes Eclectic she took on one of the tracks that put the kiddos from Canada on the map — “Neighborhood #1″, the first song off their debut album “Funeral“.

It’s a very nice rendition. She removes most of the songs structure leaving her guitar and her dynamic voice to do all the lifting. Definitely check out her whole session as there’s a lot more to be discovered.

As for your diagnosable Arcade Fire fever.. That’ll have to wait a few more weeks.
