Arte Moreno, owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are heading into the All-Star Break with a losing record and lower attendance this year.

It’s been ten years since Phoenix businessman Arte Moreno bought the team – following their pennant win in 2002.

Moreno was the first Latino owner of a major-league professional sports franchise. And he promised big things. But those things have made fans happy and sad.

KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis conducted a ten-year review of Moreno’s ownership of the team with Gustavo Arellano of the OC Weekly.
