It was a homecoming show on Morning Becomes Eclectic for Avi Buffalo, a trio based out of Long Beach. They’ve been touring a ton since the release of their debut album on Sub Pop records and are heading back out again next month. Avi’s guitarwork had us all at the window between the performance studio and master control, watching intently. As Jason mentioned in the interview, Avi had his guitar strapped on from the second he walked into the station. The recent high school graduate told a story about honing his chops with a friend of his parents who took him to play blues and then would critique each performance. I guess that’s how you get to be a great player before you hits your 20’s, as proven in their set! Check out the full performance here.
