    California adds jobs, unemployment still at 10.7 %

    The Los Angeles Timesreports:

    Employers across five industries added jobs, with professional and business services leading the way and creating 15,200 jobs. The education and health services industry added 10,300 jobs, and leisure and hospitality added 6,400 jobs.

    However, unemployment remained at 10.7 percent, the third highest in the country. Nevada continues to have the highest rate at 12 percent. The national unemployment rate was 8.3 percent in July.
