Chris Webber on Original Dream Team vs. 2012 Olympic Team

From DJ Eric J Lawrence:

My job as KCRW Music Librarian is already pretty much the best job in the world. But then it gets even more awesome when I get to host some of my favorite celebrities when they come by the station as part of our Guest DJ Project!

Today, I got to meet and talk music with basketball legend Chris Webber, who was very eloquent about his musical passions.

But I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to ask his take on the controversy created when current Olympian Kobe Bryant suggested that this year’s Olympic basketball team might have been able to beat the original Dream Team (i.e. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, etc). Given his response, I think his opinion is pretty clear…

Editor’s Note: Chris’ Guest DJ Project set will air in October! Legendary NYC street ball player Bobbito Garcia is our current guest. Yes, we love basketball here in the basement.
