The CMJ Music Marathon is one of the best places to discover new indie bands on the rise – and see a few that have already found fame as well. They just announced the initial lineup for this year’s event, which takes place in New York City, October 19-23.

Some KCRW favorites will be there including DeVotchKa, Two Door Cinema Club, andSchool of Seven Bells(who will be performing live on Morning Becomes Eclectic this Thursday, September 2.) Also, Grammy nominees Foreign Exchange, awesome couple Dean and Britta, Aussie artists Angus and Julia Stone and a new favorite, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr.
