Exciting news from the LA music scene! I knew Cold War Kids were in the studio working with producer Jacquire King so I’ve been anxiously awaiting news about their latest recorded effort, especially after their “Behave Yourself” EP almost made my Top Ten list last year.

Today they announced the new album, called “Mine is Yours,” will be out on January 25 on Downtown Records AND that they will be hitting the road in November. The tour kicks off in Pomona, CA at The Glass House on November 5th and will wind up in Memphis, TN on December 11th. You can see all the dates below.

Lead Signer Nathan Willett says to expect a more personal approach on this album, with lyrical content revolving around relationships.

“I got home from tour and realized I was married. All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned. When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up to us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me,” says Willett.

Can’t wait to hear it!
