Rep. Karen Bass

Day two of the Democratic Convention is underway, and we’re expecting big speeches tonight by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, and former President Bill Clinton.

Also on the bill tonight is 47th District California Representative Karen Bass, who will speak to delegates there in Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis for a preview.

Bass is speaking on behalf of the Congressional Black Caucus about voting rights, and alleged efforts in swing states to suppress voter access.
