Following the deadly shooting that culminated at Santa Monica College, the school is providing counseling services at the Bundy campus 9 a.m. to 6 p.m Sunday; and at the main campus from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. Additionally, SMC faculty, staff and students are invited to gather today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bundy campus, at 3171 S. Bundy Ave., to support one another.

The college will reopen Monday at 7:00 a.m. and finals will take place as scheduled. The college is posting updated information on its website.

The main campus of Santa Monica College is open to staff and students today who need to retrieve belongings they may have left behind after Friday’s shooting. Buildings and parking lots are accessible. The library remains closed; belongings left there can be retrieved at 1510 Pico Blvd. between 9 a.m- 6 p.m.

Personal Property—From the Library:

  • Personal property items left in the Library have been collected, bagged, and moved to 1510 Pico Blvd.

  • Go to 1510 Pico Blvd. between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • You will be given a Property Claim Form to complete.

  • Satisfactory proof of ownership will be required before the release of any items.

  • If you have a Picture ID, please bring it with you.

  • Items will not be released to third parties or friends.

Personal Property—From All Other Buildings:

  • Go to the building where you left your property between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Find a table outside the building staffed by college personnel

  • At the table, you must personally complete a Property Claim Form

  • Satisfactory proof of ownership will be required before the release of any items.

  • If you have a Picture ID please bring it with you.

  • Items will not be released to third parties or friends.
