Deasy under increasing scrutiny from School Board

What is unusual is that this is a specially called closed door meeting. And L.A. Times education reporter Howard Blume says the focus will almost certainly be on the future of LAUSD Superintendent John Deasy.

Deasy has been under fire for issues connected to the district’s troubled roll out of a $1 billion-plus computer program. But he’s also guided the district through its worse fiscal crisis in decades while raising test scores and reducing suspension levels

Deasy’s evaluation is not due until the end of next month. But Blume says that tomorrow’s meeting is a sign that the evaluation process – and Deasy’s continued role with the district – may be fraught with contention:
