I’m a big fan of DeVotchKa’s unique sound. The word gypsy always comes to mind, but Jason described it perfectly when he said “there is a dreamlike quality to their music.” And, when he listens, he feels like he’s on a great adventure. It just makes you feel alive!

And frontman Nick Urata bellowing vocals are only matched by hisexpert whistling, on songs like “The Enemy Guns.”

They played favorites off their latest album like “100 Other Lovers” and “The Man From San Sebastian”, as well as a cover of Neil Young’s “Only Love Can Break Your Heart.”

Check out the full set in our archives.
