The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to top the National League West this season, albeit barely.

And, really, it didn’t matter that they topped the NL West at the end of last season, because they blew it in the playoffs.

But with the biggest payroll in the major leagues, an ownership group that paid $2 billion for the team a few years ago, and an $8 billion deal with Time-Warner Cable, the Dodgers do win the money game.

Molly Knight wrote the book, ‘The Best Team Money Can Buy’, which chronicles how the Boys in Blue are rolling in the green.

KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis sits down with Knight to talk about the team’s new ownership and her chat with Clayton Kershaw at his home in Texas.
