Every now and then a lovely email catches our eye. This one is addressed to KCRW DJs Dan Wilcox and Valida – both have shows that go into the darkest of the wee hours.

hello Dan and Valida,

You might feel kinda alone in the dark before dawn, but here where I am it’s a bright Sunday morning–it’s 11:30 am and I am dancing around my room doing the horrible job of changing over my wardrobe from winter to summer. Doing it with you in the background is much more fun. Yes, although I’m from LA, I now live in France (where we have real seasons and very small closets) and your morning show comes in right when I am up and happy. I also put you on when I have friends over for brunch, and more of them are now also tuning in to you. there you go, just a little postcard from the other side of the world. Thanks for cheering up my morning.
