Below is a short conversation with Marisol Schulz, the director of LeaLA, about this year’s festival and Southern California’s Spanish-speaking literary market. “It’s a cultural festival where we aim to bring the Spanish speaking people their culture and their language, says Schulz. She adds that there’s a real need for this book fair in Los Angeles, where it’s hard to find Spanish-language books.
