Fans, family celebrate Jenni Rivera at memorial service

Thousands of fans came together Wednesday to celebrate the life of Jenni Rivera at LA’s Gibson Auditorium. Family members paid tribute to Jenni Rivera on stage, while fans continued their outpouring through social media.

“We will celebrate the graduation into heaven, with honors, of our beloved mother, daughter and sister Jenni Rivera,” the family said in a statement.

There is an ongoing investigation into the Dec. 9 plane crash that left Rivera and six members of her entourage dead.

Those attending were asked to bring a single white rose for the singer to place around the casket.
